Few cars announce arrival the way a Range Rover Sport does in Accra. It's also one of the most demanding cars you can run in Ghana. If your eyes are open going in, it can be a wonderful ownership experience.

Years to consider

  • L494 (2014–2022) Supercharged V6 — best balance of capability and serviceability
  • L494 SVR — incredible but parts-prohibitive
  • L461 (2023+) — gorgeous and very expensive to land

What will cost you

Air suspension, electronics, fuel consumption (7–9 km/L is normal), and parts lead times. Budget GHS 18,000–30,000/year if you drive it daily.

Who should buy one

Buyers who genuinely love the brand and have the budget cushion. If you're stretching just to afford the import, look at an X5, GLE or Lexus RX instead.
